Our goal is to give our youth hope, motivation, and courage to live for something above and beyond the lure of a life of crime and dependency. Reeds Refuge has created the “STREAM (Science, Reading, Arts, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program” which provides students the ability to productively engage in the process of developing, exercising, and executing relevant life and career skills. Thi

s will assist Reeds Refuge Center in providing students with the understanding of a variety of STREAM careers related to a multitude of professional industries. Reeds Refuge has a parent center designed to help families as a collective unity. We are here because we know these children and families need us. Our youth are falling through the cracks at such an alarming rate! They are becoming victim to guns, drugs, violence, teen pregnancy, lack of education, verbal and sexual abuse and idle minds. It’s our belief that by stimulating the minds of these impressionable children through the arts, we’ll open a pathway to their hearts. It’s our hope that these creative outlets will allow our youth the ventilation that is needed to release the anger, animosity, anxiety, rejection, peer pressure and instability they face everyday.

Throwback to 2017! Looking at this photo brings back so many memories. It’s amazing to think that nearly every young person pictured here is now an adult, with the youngest soon joining them this July.

This picture is a reminder that time flies, but the impact of investing in our youth lasts forever. We have had the privilege of watching scholars grow, mature, overcome challenges, and step into adulthood. Seeing where many of them are today is one of the greatest rewards of the work we do.

At Reed’s Refuge, we don’t just serve young people—we build relationships, create memories, and help shape futures.

To every scholar who has walked through our doors: we are proud of you and will always be cheering you on.

❤️ Meals with Love – A Day to Remember ❤️

What an incredible day at Reeds Refuge Center!

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude as we reflect on the love, support, and unity shown throughout our Meals with Love event. We truly served more people than we expected, and it was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with a heart to serve.

Thank you to every parent, volunteer, donor, cook, server, supporter, and community member who played a part. Thank you to those who donated, those who labored behind the scenes preparing food, those who stood on the front lines serving meals, and those who simply showed up to spread love and encouragement.

A special thank you to everyone who believes in the vision and continues to support the mission of creating hope, opportunity, and community for others. We would love to name every person who helped make this day possible, but there are simply too many amazing people to list. Please know that every act of kindness, every donation, every helping hand, and every prayer made a difference.

Because of you, families were fed, hearts were encouraged, and our community felt the power of love in action.
