As we celebrate Thanksgiving and the holiday season, we reflect on CRRI's profound impact on the lives of our vulnerable communities. We're grateful for the thousands of lives we've touched over the years. Wishing you, your loved ones, and those we serve blessings, joy, and warmth today and always.

A bit of history!!!!

This is the genesis of the empowerment program that achieved remarkable success with nearly 400 enrollments and 267 livelihood graduates.

The pioneering group to graduate and receive empowerment in 2020 consisted of 16 talented ladies from pastry, home economics, and decoration, along with 2 skilled barbers.

Hello from CRRI

In another segment of CRRI's recent empowerment visit to Nigeria, the team went to Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State, Nigeria. CRRI provided sewing machines, including industrial models, to nine trainees in tailoring, toolboxes, and key startup machines to three individuals trained in glass and aluminum works.

Eight trainees from the ICT department received laptops. A physically challenged trainee received a laptop and a multifunction printer. Trainees in motor mechanics were also equipped with toolboxes, overalls, and helmets while a trainee in carpentry received some tools including cutting and drilling machines.

It was such a wonderful moment for the CRRI trainees in Calabar as they received this kind gesture with a lot of gratitude to Dr Celestine Atangcho and his team.

Happy Sunday you all

Starting his Nigerian visit to Cameroon refugees Dr. Celestine Atangcho and the CRRI team donated 15 modern hair dryers and hairdressing accessories to trainees in hair dressing as well as one industrial sewing machine to a trainee in tailoring at the CRRI training center in Ogoja.

Trained since 2020, CRRI returned this time to follow up the trainees on the progress made with the skills acquired and to support them in empowerment journey by offering them start up kits.

Dr. Atangcho and team were joined by the UNCHR senior protection officer in Ogoja who added her voice in encouraging the beneficiaries. She called on them to put into great use the equipment given to them. She also praised CRRI for their efforts in empowering refugees in Nigeria since 2019.

Sustaining hope for a better tomorrow

Hit by the escalating conflict in Cameroon, rendered homeless by heavy fighting, and fleeing for their dear lives with no where to stay, nor any assurance of even a meal a day, thousands of stranded Cameroonians from the Northwest and Southwest of the country are lacking in the basic necessities for survival. The Community Refugee Relief Initiative, CRRI, is giving humanitarian assistance to these refugees and give them hope for a better life through our various empowerment programs including nutrition, clean water, first aid, medical treatment, educational needs, leadership training among others. Please join our efforts with a donation.
