We are a small, dedicated group of fosters and volunteers. We strive to improve the lives of senior dogs who find themselves without a family to care for them anymore. We do not have a facility. Our dogs live in our homes as members of our families until they find their forever home or in the event of a hospice situation, until they cross the Rainbow Bridge. We provide care, comfort, companionship and, most of all, unconditional love.

✨ Alumni Update ✨

Buddy has been in his furever home for almost 2 years now 🎉. His family reports that "he has been a JOY to have and we love having him as part of the family" 💙.

When Buddy isn't snoozing in the office when his mom & dad are working, he can be found sun bathing on the screened in porch and keeping an eye on the neighborhood.

We are so happy to hear Buddy is doing well and is loved so much! He looks great and we are thankful to his adopters.

Foster Fail Stories Are the Best! ❤️🐾

Eddie’s story is a perfect example of how sometimes the dog makes the decision for you! 🥹

Eddie was picked up as a stray by a kind family who couldn’t just leave him behind. They reached out to us for help, and Eddie came into the rescue looking for a safe place to land.

Well… Eddie had other plans. 😂

He fit right in with the pack like he had always belonged there. No drama, no fuss — he simply settled in and made himself at home.

And when a dog fits into the family that perfectly, there’s really only one thing you can do…

He had to stay! 🏡❤️

Another foster fail, another happy ending, and another lucky pup who found his forever family. Sometimes the best adoptions are the ones that happen when you weren’t planning on adopting at all! 🥰

✨ Hospice Luka is Living His Best Life! ✨

Luka is truly such a gem—and quite the little traveler! 🥰🐾

So far this summer, this handsome boy has been camping, hitting the beach, enjoying ice cream, and collecting approximately one million belly rubs. 🍦🏖️⛺️❤️ And honestly, we’re not sure who is having more fun… Luka or his humans!

You would never guess Luka is a hospice pup. He has SO much s***k and so much life in him! He’s sweet, happy, adventurous, and always ready to make the most of whatever fun comes his way. 🥹❤️

There is just one little problem…

Luka does NOT believe in personal space when it comes to his mom. 😂

He absolutely adores his human mom and prefers to be wherever she is—which usually means strapped securely to her chest or riding around in his backpack like the little king he is. 👑🎒

And his two human siblings? Absolutely obsessed with them, too! ❤️ They are his people, and he wants to be right in the middle of all the family fun.

Every day with Luka is a gift, and his family is incredibly grateful for every single one of them. And judging by that happy little face, Luka knows exactly how lucky he is, too. 🥰

Hospice may be part of his story, but it certainly isn’t stopping Luka from living it!

Here’s to more adventures, more ice cream, more belly rubs, more family time, and making every single day count. ❤️🐾

LET’S TALK ABOUT LOLA!

If you’re looking for a professional lap warmer, Lola may have already submitted her résumé. 😂💕 This sweet senior girl is happiest when she’s with her people—and preferably curled up in their lap for a nice nap. 🥰💤

Her foster mom says Lola is great with other dogs and has been wonderfully patient with her blind foster siblings when they accidentally bump into her. She doesn’t necessarily need a canine best friend, though. Her true love language seems to be PEOPLE. ❤️

Lola is a little arthritic, but it’s not stopping her from getting around. She can even handle the steps, which apparently puts her ahead of several other dogs currently residing in the house. 🙄😂

She still has a few vaccines and updated bloodwork to take care of, but once that’s done, this affectionate girl will be ready to find her forever home. 🩺🐾🏡

We have a feeling whoever gets to be Lola’s official nap spot is going to be one very lucky human. 💕

🫧 BUBBLES HERE. WE NEED TO HAVE A LITTLE CHAT. 🫧

Hi. Yes, it’s me again. Bubbles. The “grouchy old lady.” 🙄

First of all, I would like to address the rumors.

I AM NOT OLD.
I am simply experienced. There’s a difference. 💅

And honestly? I’m actually pretty fun! I’m active, I love hanging out with my dog friends, and cats? I don’t care about them. They can do their cat thing and I’ll do my Bubbles thing. We’re good. 🐶🤝🐱

I’m also fully potty trained because I have standards. You’re welcome. ✔️

I listen to commands, I LOVE being outside in the yard, and I actually enjoy sleeping in my kennel. Sometimes a girl just needs to shut the door, lie down, and have some me time. 😴

Kids? Yeah… no.

Nothing personal. I just prefer my household members to have a little more life experience. 😂

Now, let’s discuss my belly-rubbing policy.

I LOVE belly rubs.

You may rub my belly.

You may tell me how adorable I am.

You may continue rubbing my belly…

UNTIL I SAY STOP.

And trust me, honey, I WILL LET YOU KNOW. 😂

Sometimes my way of saying “the massage is over” can be a tiny bit… nippy.

Am I aggressive? NO.

Am I dramatic? ABSOLUTELY.

Do I have opinions? MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE.

I’m basically a tiny four-legged HOA president. I have rules, I enforce the rules, and I will personally inform you when you have violated said rules. 😂💁‍♀️

But seriously… underneath all my sass, I’m a really fun girl looking for my person. ❤️

I don’t need someone who expects me to be perfect.

I need someone who understands that sometimes I’m sweet, sometimes I’m spicy, and sometimes I just need everyone to back away from the belly. 😂

So… where is my person?

I KNOW you’re out there.

And when you find me, please bring snacks.

We’re going to have a LOT to discuss.

Introducing our newest little Muppet — Doug! 🥹🐶 🐾 💙

Doug is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu mix who was found as a stray and brought to a local area shelter. We may not know much about his past just yet, but one thing is already clear — this little guy is a total love bug! ❤️

Unfortunately, Doug is currently battling an upper respiratory infection, but don’t worry — he’s on medication and will be seeing our partner vet this week to determine the best treatment plan for him.

Doug will also need a neuter and dental, along with an assessment of his vision and heart murmur.

There’s still plenty to learn about this sweet little Muppet, but we’re so happy Doug is safe and getting the care he needs. 🥰

Stay tuned for more updates as we follow Doug’s medical journey and watch this adorable boy begin his next chapter! 🐾💙

Oscar is asking for all your good vibes as he recovers from his surgery to have his other eye removed!

The other eye was giving him too much trouble and it was in his best interest to remove that at as well. He knows he’s a handsome boy either way and is soaking up attention in his foster mom’s lap as she tries to get work done.

Then & Now Thursday with Muffin

When Muffin arrived at a local shelter as a stray, it was pretty clear that life hadn’t been very kind to her. She was severely matted, emaciated and had significant muscle wasting. Underneath all of that hair was a little senior girl who desperately needed some TLC.

Fast forward to Muffin now.

She’s at a healthy weight, looking and feeling like a completely different dog, and living a life that probably would have been pretty hard to imagine from that first photo.

And the best part? Muffin’s best friend is now her mom’s 2-year-old grandson. They spend their time together playing trucks although apparently Muffin sometimes doubles as part of the construction site.

From a matted, underweight stray in a shelter to a beloved family member with trucks parked on her back.

This is what rescue looks like.
