A Friend Bag in USA includes items needed for daily living for someone who has nothing. Each bag has soap, tooth paste and toothbrush, comb, bandaids, kleenex, hand sanitizer, suntan lotion, chapstick, wipes, water, New Testament, hairbrush, poncho, food such as granola bars and crackers with cheese, poncho, tissues, socks, antibacterial lotion etc. These are distributed to the homeless on the street, in parks, on benches, under bridges and beside highways. Friend Bag Ministries also helps the extremely poor in its international efforts in Peru and the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.

MY PRAYER

Galatians 6:14 (NLT):
As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.

Willis sent this verses to me in a letter while he was at Liberty in 1974...John 3:14, 30 (NLT):
14. And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
30. He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.

As missionaries, our prayer is that Jesus is seen in all that we do. As we age, it gets harder physically to go; but, we also understand that eternity gets closer every day. Our desire is that everyone can hear the gospel.

She NEEDS surgery soon!!!
Last weekend, she had a terrible kidney infection and had to be hospitalized with a high fever.

Lord, we need $7,000 MORE so she can have a chance...she needed the surgery already and every day without it puts her in danger.

EMERGENCY NEED!!! $8 k now
Yamileth needs surgery now on her bladder! The surgery, augmentation cystoplasty, will stretch her bladder. This will allow the urine to flow into her enlarged bladder and hopefully stop the backing up of urine that is weakening the kidneys. She may need a kidney transplant in the future but this surgery should delay this.need. PLEASE PRAY. The surgery will cost $8k and the family does not have any money to cover it.

The medications that we have purchased during the last 2 years for infections and anemia have helped to get her strong enough for the surgery.
Now I am asking for your help so that she can get this surgery. The doctor wants to operate next week or as soon as they have the money to pay for it. ANY amount will help.

Venezuelan Response: Thank you to all who responded so quickly and contributed $800 to our help us to send emergency supplies to help in the aftermath of the back to back earthquakes. These items included:
6 boxes of gloves
12 tubes of antibiotic ointment
6 boxes of masks
20 inhalers for asthma
2 boxes of medical tape
2 cases 4x4 gauze
20 rolls of Ace bandages
20 bottles of peroxide
20 single beds
A cart full of baby food
3 boxes of formula
5 boxes of surgical masks
Medicine
And more...
Everything was send with firefighters to Lima, Peru Tuesday morning and will be flown to Venezuela immediately.
