We had so many amazing moments this summer, and we feel so lucky to be able to highlight just how incredible it was. This summer was made possible by an amazing community. We are so thankful for every staff member coach volunteer partner, family, and participant who joined us over the last few months!

A Tar Heel born and bred, originally from Wayne County, NC, Elizabeth graduated from UNCW before earning her master’s degree from Clemson. After spending several years working in higher education, she transitioned into the insurance industry.

While she enjoys her career, Elizabeth missed the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in her community. She grew up playing golf with her dad and competed on her high school golf team, so becoming involved with First Tee has been the perfect way to stay connected to a game she loves while helping make a difference in the lives of young people.

We’re so grateful to have Elizabeth joining us as a Celebrity Judge and even more grateful for all she does for First Tee - Greater Wilmington!

Friday, we hosted our first Girls Golf Career Fair, bringing together nearly 20 girls ages 4–12 for an afternoon of golf, inspiration, and big dreams. ⛳️💗

Through an interactive golf experience and conversations with inspiring women from across our community, our girls had the chance to explore career paths, ask questions, hear real stories, and discover how their interests and passions can become future careers.

Executive Chef Brian Dennis, CEC, has over 30 years of culinary experience, including more than two decades in the private club industry. After graduating from culinary school in 1999, he built his career at prestigious private clubs in Colorado before earning his Certified Executive Chef (CEC) designation in 2015. In 2016, he joined CCL as Executive Chef, where he continues to lead the culinary team. Outside the kitchen, Chef Brian enjoys spending time on the boat with his family and cheering on Michigan football. Go Blue!
