What a wonderful afternoon of music at Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall! 🎻✨ Yesterday, our WSYO Chamber Ensemble, The Lark Quartet, shared an engaging program featuring works by Mozart, Ravel, Dvořák, Borodin, and more — alongside favorites like Can’t Help Falling in Love, Misty, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Bravo to:
- Evan Crowley-Colom, violin
- Mayeli Zea Hernandez, violin
- Ava Ridout, cello
- with Coach Roy Robuck, viola.

Thank you to for hosting this special performance and supporting young musicians in our community! 💜

On April 20th, our Education & Outreach Manager, Meghan McDonald, visited two local schools alongside Sofia Lukasik and her private lesson teacher and WSO Principal Violin II, Anne Stohl. Sofia and Anne showcased their talents to Mr. Roy Robuck’s orchestras at Laney High School and Trask Middle School.

Sofia is the 2026 Richard R. Deas Young Artist Concerto Competition High School Division Winner and Concertmaster of the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra - she recently performed Mendelssohn's Concerto in E minor with the WSO this past weekend to a sold-out audience in Wilson Center.

Experiences like this show the real impact of music education in our schools. When students have the chance to hear and learn from live performers, it deepens their understanding and sparks inspiration. By supporting young musicians and creating opportunities to learn and perform, we help inspire the next generation of leaders—both on and off the stage.
