Our 2016 Memorial Day Weekend Flag Retirement Ceremony. It is an honor to be one of the only two organizations that are permitted to conduct this ceremony. In total, we retired 10 flags that flew proudly in front of local businesses and homes. Thank you so much to all the Scouts that participated. Thank you to those that played a part in our memorial to our nation's great symbol. Last and not least, thank you to all of you who came to watch this amazing event...we hope that you found it to be respectful and dignifying. From Pack 277 we wish you all a wonderful Memorial Day!!

2016 Cub Scout Crossover and Arrow of Light Ceremony. Thank you to all the leaders and families that helped these Scouts succeed in Cub Scouts. Thank you everyone who helped with the ceremony and those that attended for support...y'all are the best!! Most importantly Congratulations to our Webelos who became Boy Scouts last night. You will make an excellent addition to Boy Scout Troop 277 and we will truly miss you!!

Tonight was community service workers night and it turned out great!!! We had the New Hanover Regional EMS crew with ambulance, Justin and Yanko from the Sheriff Dept K-9 unit, Fire Station 18 brought there ladder truck out, and we also had Brent, a New Hanover Sheriff's Dept SWAT paramedic, bring out his gear to show the boys. Truly amazing night.

We have had such a great weekend camping out at Carolina Beach State Park. Friday was really cold at 43 degrees...tonight is much better!! We spent our day hiking off the trail, rolling down Sugarloaf Hill, making nature ornaments from items we collected on our hike, made dream catchers, and did our conservation project. We had campfire smores and did skits. We had after dark glow games and bedtime stories. What an amazing weekend Scouts!!! Y'all were AWESOME!!!! More pics to come!!!

Hiking to Sugarloaf Hill during our primitive "cold weather " (58 degree) camp out. What a great experience...we went off the trail and hiked outside State Park borders. The Scouts AND Parents were ready for lunch!!!
