Delaware residents and visitors can enjoy two FREE fishing days this summer as DNREC announces June 6 and June 7 as Free Fishing Days across Delaware waters.

During these two days, anglers can fish, crab, and clam without needing a 2026 Delaware fishing license. It’s a great opportunity for families, first-time anglers, and community members to get outdoors and enjoy Delaware’s waterways during National Fishing and Boating Week.

Please note: Anglers age 16 and older will still need a free FIN number, and all fishing regulations, catch limits, and size requirements still apply.

The City of Wilmington Department of Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the 2026 Youth Fishing Trip! Participants will enjoy a full day on the Chesapeake Bay aboard the Island Queen II — with lunch included!

This summer, the Department of Parks and Rec is helping with free breakfast and lunch for youth centers, summer camps, community centers, and more organizations at rotating parks throughout the City of Wilmington from June through August, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
