After a long battle with breast cancer, our sweet friend and founding Board member, Maggie McLamb has gone home to be with Jesus. Our hearts and prayers go out for her family and friends. We are so grateful for the life God gave her, and that we were able to share with her for several years serving in ministry together. She has helped so many of the women that have passed through our programs, and her impact and legacy will live on.

One of the joys our team gets to experience among women we serve is "firsts." The first time they tell their story to someone, or the first time they felt freedom from the weight of shame they have carried from the abuse they endured. In the 8 years we've hosted Hope Run, we've had many women tell us, "This is my first 5K" or "This is the first time I have ever ran a race!"

This was the case of our sweet friend in Bib # 6 here, who shared her weight loss journey with us at Hope Run this year, and how this was her very first ever race experience!

We LOVE being a small part of of helping women heal and grow - no matter their story.

Way to go "first" timers! Keep up the great work!

We would be remiss not to share Joyce's experience and all the beautiful healing taking hold among the women we've been serving this Spring. It's because of God’s grace and supporters like you that we are able to help women like her to find hope and healing in Jesus Christ.

As we share our May News, our team is walking 11 women through Journey to Heal and training 2 more women to offer our program in their local church.

“Why do you host Hope Run?”

To raise awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual abuse and support for survivors in their healing.

“Does it make a difference?”

Yes. Even if all we do is educate families about CSA and how to protect their children. When we talk about protecting children from sexual abuse, we are talking about protecting the human growth and development of future generations.

“How can I get involved?”

We recommend you educate yourself on the facts and statistics around CSA, and what steps are necessary to protect and inform your own children, and all those you love.

Finished packing up Hope Run 2026 🎉…I just want to take a moment to thank all our sponsors, participants, volunteers, vendors, and donors again!

You have helped raise public awareness to the prevelance and impact of sexual abuse in our community and beyond. And what is more, your participation has helped survivors know they are not alone and there is hope for healing!

We had 232 registered participants this year and raised needed funds to support the work we do to provide trauma informed and Christ centered care for survivors of sexual abuse, every day. Thank YOU!🙌❤️

What’s most special to me is all our peeps who came out in spite of the rain to help, serve, or to walk and run with us in support. So very grateful for everyone!!

🎉 Sunday race was a fun and amazing day for us, even in spite of the rain! We’re sharing some highlights of the day and and huge, thank you to everyone who participated and supported this year‘s race!

232 registered participants = 232 swag bags delivered with prevention education and healing resources!

$16,958.43 funds raised towards our $25k Hope Run goal!
