Progress continues at Concord Square (4209 Concord Pike). The former Brandywine Country Club golf course has been graded and framing is well underway for the apartment buildings. Also a new 8,650 sq ft retail building near Concord Pike is moving along. According to the latest Capano leasing brochure, this will house a T-Mobile store as well as two other tenants. Padsite #1 (fast food with drive thru) is listed as "available" so the formerly rumored Raising Cane's may have not panned out.

Aerial update from Avenue North. Now under construction, the new 116,500 sq. ft., five-story residential complex will consist of (94) units with amenities including a fitness center, a 175,000 sq. ft. hotel and conference center and 200,000 sq. ft. of retail space and more for restaurants. Looks good from up here! What do you think?

Just below the border of Pennsylvania is a historic Delaware mall that has transformed from one of Wilmington's hubs into a near-abandoned shell of itself with an uncertain future. The Concord Mall opened in the late 1960s, and while it isn't Delaware's first enclosed mall (that would be the Blue Hen), it is the state's oldest still-operating one since the Blue Hen was converted into a corporate center.

There has been some activity recently at 3601 Concord Pike, the former Krispy Kreme and AT&T store. According to the permits it looks like we may be getting a Popeyes soon!
