Respect OST Community! Exciting News from the STEM Next Inspire Conference!

We are proud to be representing Delaware and the Delaware Afterschool Network at the STEM Next Inspire Momentum Conference in Florida!

Did you know that in 2024, Delaware celebrated its first STEM Next Million Girls Moonshot Flight Crew member, Alyssa Bush? Alyssa graduated from Odessa High School and is now continuing her academic journey at the University of Delaware.

Building on that success, Delaware is proud to have three outstanding Flight Crew members in 2025. I am honored to be here alongside these remarkable young leaders as they engage with peers, mentors, and STEM advocates from across the country.

Opportunities like these empower young people to explore their potential, develop leadership skills, and inspire the next generation of innovators. We are committed to creating pathways that help youth discover, pursue, and thrive in STEM.

Thank you to STEM Next for making experiences like this possible. Together, we're helping shape the future—one young leader at a time!

Respect OST Community! Afterschool programs play a vital role in youth development by sparking curiosity, strengthening communication and critical thinking skills, and giving families peace of mind that their children are in safe, supportive environments. Before, during, and after the pandemic, 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) have remained a cornerstone for helping students succeed academically and for fostering social and emotional growth.

The Delaware Department of Education has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for organizations interested in administering 21st CCLC programs under the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act. This is an important opportunity to expand high-quality afterschool programming across the state.

Interested applicants are encouraged to review the full RFP details and bid solicitation materials. A voluntary Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Attendance is optional but strongly encouraged for those considering applying.
