DATAC’s letter of endorsement for House Bill 264: This act makes it a crime of “patronizing a prostitute” a class E felony rather then a misdemeanor where the person whom prostitution is sought is a MINOR.

Did you know that currently an adult can patronize a child for s*x or harass a law enforcement animal, and be guilty of the same level of offense. Both of these are unclassified misdemeanors in Delaware. If you think that an adult that patronizes a child for s*x should be a felony, please email your letters of support to [email protected].

House Bill 264 is scheduled to be heard on the House floor June 18th @ 2pm. This bill will make it felony if an adult patronizes a child for s*x. Currently in Delaware it is a misdemeanor if an adult to patronize a child for s*x.

We are honored to have our survivor-led HEAL program recognized and awarded by the Office of Trafficking in Person’s!!❣️ We share in the joy with our survivor advisory committee and our community partners!

Twelve initiatives led by survivors of human trafficking will receive federal funding, coaching and other support to strengthen community-based responses to human trafficking.
