The countdown is on! Applications for the Most Valuable Student scholarship open this Saturday, August 1.

If you know any incoming high school seniors, encourage them to apply! No relation to the Elks is necessary to win one of these scholarships, which range from $1,000 to $7,500 per year.

MVS scholars gain more than just financial aid—they gain an appreciation of service, a network of like-minded peers, and an for life.

Members of Elks Lodge #532 braved the sweltering heat and participated in "Sleep In Heavenly Peace", Wilmington Chapter, helping to assemble 50 beds for needy children. What an awesome ministry! Well done, good and faithful servants! Bravo!

Women Veterans Recognition Brunch

Local women Veterans from the Marine Corps, Air Force, Army and Navy attended a special recognition brunch today at our Lodge. These special ladies were treated to a delicious brunch consisting of several varieties of egg casserole, fresh fruit, freshly baked pastry, juice and coffee. Each Veteran in attendance related a story about their time in service. Among this dignified group we had a Purple Heart recipient, President Reagans nurse, and a former member of the Capital Police. Many thanks to Cathey Luna for manning the kitchen and preparing the superb meal. Special thanks also to Lodge members Louise McColl, Ashley Miller, Chrissy Sanford (Col, USA, Ret.), Kelly Webb, Marge McDonald, and Bob Shields for making all this happen. God Bless our Troops, God Bless our Veterans, and God Bless the USA! 🇺🇸

There were piles of smiles all around at Wilmington Elks Lodge #532 today as we celebrated our Flag with our annual Flag Day Service. Our Flag Day Committee and club officers really put on a show. The annual address this year was given by Col. David "Scotty" Dawson, USMCR (Ret), and the Wilmington Choral Society brought the crowd to their feet with their rousing patriotic music. The event was open to the public, and refreshments were served afterwards by our Does and Auxiliary. 'Tis a Grand Old Flag! 🇺🇸.
