🔥 Campfire season is here! 🔥
Kids Making It now sells fire starter pucks (fire muffins, if you ask us 😄) made from hardwood sawdust, local beeswax, and a natural paper starter — perfect for your next campfire or cookout. Edit: they are also perfect for indoor fireplaces!

Grab one for $3 or two for $5, in the Castle Street giftshop or online (link in bio). Every purchase supports our free youth programming. 🌲

This past week, Kids Making It had the privilege of taking 16 of our teens shopping — for free — at the new Saint’s Shop at St. James Episcopal Church. We left with full shopping bags and even fuller hearts. ❤️ Thank you St James Parish for having us!

Got gently used clothing to donate? They need all sizes for kids 5+. The Saint’s Shop opens its doors Thursday evenings and Saturdays so families in need can shop for free.

Some of our proudest moments this week didn’t happen in the workshop 🛠️—they happened at the Earl Jackson pool. Seven students and one staff member learned to swim this week 🏊‍♀️ — a huge milestone worth celebrating 🎉! Many fears were faced. Thank you to Tami from NSEA Swim Foundation for your patience, skill, and encouragement 💙. We couldn’t be prouder of our new swimmers!

We didn’t come away with the outcome we wanted, but we had a ton of fun nonetheless (as always)! We want to say a big thank you to all of our friends at Elements - Youth Support & Enrichment Program—thank you being such lovely hosts as always. Thank you, also, to our coaches—Coach Fe and Coach Mason from CFCC wbb and mbb teams.

We look forward to a chance to even out with W/L column next year. Until then, congrats to Elements!
