As we reflect on our 2026 Summer Residential Program at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC, we are reminded of just how special this summer was. 💙💚
We brought our Delaware College Scholars down from Delaware to join our Queen City Scholars in Charlotte for an experience designed to do more than prepare students academically. We wanted our scholars to learn, connect, explore, experience new things, and begin seeing even more possibilities for their futures.
And partners like Equitable helped us make that possible. ✨
Throughout the summer, Equitable poured into our scholars through financial literacy, career, and wellness workshops that gave them practical knowledge they can carry well beyond our program.
But they didn’t stop there. 💙
Equitable also surprised our scholars with an unforgettable night at a Charlotte Knights baseball game! ⚾ For many of our young people, it was their first time experiencing something like it, and those moments of joy, connection, and exposure matter too.
These weren’t simply additions to the schedule. Equitable truly enriched the experience we were able to provide our scholars.
To the entire Equitable team, THANK YOU. Thank you for investing in our young people, showing up for them, sharing your expertise, creating new experiences, and believing in what we are building.
