Every year, I do a project. And this year, I chose one that no one likes to talk about. You know, THAT one. Why don't you have kids yet? When are you having kids? So are you trying? Typical response is "Oh, we're not ready" or the classic "I dont "want" kids". But in reality, you do. It's so much easier to just say that you aren't ready instead of the truth...the Dr. increased your Clomid, your increasing the shots....invitro didn't work.... You would rather lie than admit the truth and have people look at you feeling sorry for you. Today, 1-in-8 couples suffer from infertility, Next time you are out with your friends, take a hard look....there is a very probable chance that one of your friends could be suffering in silence. There are so many feelings that coincide with this issue - feelings of worthlessness, doubt, anger, frustration, sadness, HOPE - Hope that one day, you will get that positive test result after years of trying. I tried to showcase every feeling associated with it, and the last image is coming to terms. If you were moved or touched by any of the images, SHARE - Infertility is so brutal, but women are so much more than the words that they THINK defines them.
