Do you have "NAMI Pride"? We are motivated to raise awareness of this crucial issue since LGBTQ+ individuals are disproportionately affected by mental illness and a shortage of mental health resources.

We see mental health without conditions as a step toward mental health for everyone, not just a catchphrase. It is something we can all do. Every month, in NAMI Pride, not just this one. It is this lifetime, this year, and this decade. We encourage you to join our movement if you haven't already.

You can share your story with us by posting your own and tagging us with

Our Fellow, Maia, will be leaving us on Tuesday to attend graduate school and then head into the big, big world.

Maia started as an intern 2 years ago and returned to us last year as our Fellow. She was responsible for educational presentations and initiated our pilot program, Storytime with NAMI DE, with HUGE success! We will miss her and wish her great joy!

Send her off with some best wishes and sage advice in the comments.

Congratulations to Wesley, our Program Manager, on your 8-year anniversary with NAMI Delaware! Wesley began as an intern with our Program team and stayed on after his first year. He has become the NAMI DE archives of knowledge as well as a great person to work with.

Send him some congrats in the comments!

This Memorial Day, NAMI Delaware honors and remembers the brave service members who gave their lives in service to our country. We also recognize the lasting impact that military service can have on veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.

While our physical offices will be closed for the federal holiday, mental health support remains important every day. NAMI continues to advocate for awareness, compassion, and access to care for those living with the invisible wounds of war, including PTSD, trauma, depression, and anxiety.

If you or someone you love is struggling, support is available.

Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed.

Sunday reminder: slowing down is allowed.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, produce more, and push through, taking time to rest and care for your mental health is important.

Whether your Sunday includes time with loved ones, quiet reflection, laughter, healing, or simply getting through the day, we hope you give yourself grace and kindness along the way. Go slow. Rest. Recover.

Mental health journeys are not one-size-fits-all, and every step forward matters.

From all of us at NAMI Delaware, thank you for helping build a community rooted in compassion, understanding, and hope.

Today is 💚 Inspired by Fred Rogers, who famously shared that 143 meant “I Love You,” today reminds us of the power of kindness, compassion, and human connection.

For those living with mental health challenges, simple words of care and support can make an enormous difference. Check in on someone today. Send the text. Make the call. Remind people they matter and that they are not alone.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available by calling or texting 988.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to thank every person who shared their story, wore green, volunteered, donated, attended an event, supported a loved one, or helped spread awareness this month.

Throughout May, we highlighted the voices that make NAMI Delaware strong: staff, volunteers, board members, advocates, interns, peers, families, and community partners, all united by one message: no one should face mental health challenges alone.

Keep the stories of hope coming. It doesn't stop today. Let's end the stigma so we can all talk freely about what we need, what is happening. By using the programs of NAMI DE: Custom classes, support groups, housing, advocacy, CIT partnerships, Storytime with NAMI, volunteerism, and recovery, we reminded people that help, connection, and understanding exist.

Mental Health Awareness Month may be ending, but the work continues every single day.

Thank you for being part of this community and for helping us create a more compassionate Delaware for all.

Mental Health Awareness Month is about breaking the silence, building understanding, and reminding people they are not alone. One of the most powerful ways we do that is by sharing our stories.

Next, you’ll hear from Wesley, our Program Manager, as he speaks about the importance of lived experience, open conversation, and storytelling in ending the stigma surrounding mental illness.
