NHRMC Foundation The Pink Ribbon Project Our patients at New Hanover Regional Medical Center are battling all types of cancer and have significant needs.

Building on the longstanding success and community support of The Pink Ribbon Project, NHRMC Foundation is excited to expand New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s support of oncology services at Zimmer Cancer Center through our new fundraising initiative, Currents of Care. Currents of Care will ensure that all patients are eligible for the medical, emotional and financial assistance, providing them with a constant flow of support throughout their cancer journey.

The Pink Ribbon Project Summer Virtual Silent Auction has closed! Thank you to all that participated in our very first virtual Silent Auction. We appreciate your support of The Pink Ribbon Project's life-saving efforts.

Winning bidders will be contacted and have 24 hours to remit payment and confirm pick up details.

Should any item go unclaimed for more than 24 hours after the close of the bidding for that item, it will then be awarded to the individual with the next highest bid comment.

Today is the day! Want to know how you can join in on the fun? Take a moment to review our bidding rules in full prior to Pink Ribbon Project Summer Virtual Silent Auction's launch at 9 AM. Get ready to bid!

AUCTION BIDDING RULES:

To bid on a Silent Auction item, simply enter your bid amount in the comment section under the photo of the item of interest listed under the DISCUSSION tab.

The opening bid on each item must be at least the starting bid listed.

Each subsequent bid must follow the minimum raise per bid increment listed.

Any bids not adhering to this format will be declared invalid, voided and deleted.

Once the auction is closed, the highest bid entered in the comment section that adheres to the designated incremental increase shall constitute the winning bid and will so be marked. In the event of a dispute, NHRMC Foundation will act as the final authority.

The winning bidder will be contacted and have 24 hours to remit payment and confirm pick up details. Payment should be made via the NHRMC Foundation online giving page in the exact amount of the winning bid. Please designate payment to “The Pink Ribbon Project” fund and note “Summer Silent Auction: ITEM NAME” in the comments.

The Pink Ribbon Project

The Pink Ribbon Project provides patients in southeastern North Carolina access to 3D mammography screenings, comfort to those undergoing cancer treatment and community awareness of breast cancer and the benefits of early diagnosis and screenings. The Pink Ribbon Project funds more than 1,000 screening and diagnostic breast procedures each year for eligible patients.

More than $2.1 million has been raised and over 7,600 comfort bags have been given to area women since 1998 - all possible through Pink Ribbon Project events, community partnerships and donations.

The Pink Ribbon Project not only hosts annual events, but is celebrated throughout the year by friends, businesses, schools, social clubs and service organizations - all of whom host fundraising events to benefit cancer services at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
