Meet Bailey.
Bailey has always had a talent for seeing what others might miss—transforming complex data into clear, meaningful insights that help organizations make smarter decisions. Today, she’s thriving as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, building a career rooted in precision, strategy and impact.
But just as she was nearing the finish line of her college journey, everything changed.
“It was the summer before my senior year,” Bailey recalls. “I had some student loans, and my dad had been helping me cover the difference between loans and what it cost to go to school.”
Then, in an instant, her father was gone—killed in a workplace explosion.
Along with the grief came uncertainty. The support she had relied on to complete her education was suddenly no longer there. And like so many students in similar circumstances, Bailey was left wondering how she could possibly finish what she had started.
Determined not to give up, she began searching for answers—and found Kids’ Chance.
With scholarship support from Kids' Chance, Bailey was able to stay in school and earn her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas. She didn’t stop there. With support from Kids’ Chance, she went on to complete her MBA, building the foundation for the successful career she leads today in Chicago.
Today, as a Kids’ Chance national ambassador, Bailey is using her voice to give back—sharing her story, encouraging students and helping to grow the community that once supported her.
“I want to inspire as many people as possible to support Kids’ Chance,” she says. “And I want students to know they’re not alone. This community can carry them forward.”
Bailey’s story is a powerful reminder: When tragedy strikes, the impact doesn’t end in that moment. It ripples forward—into a student’s education, their future and their sense of possibility.
