CANCELLED 2025 YMCA's Pier-2-Pier Swim:

After consulting with the Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue, the Coast Guard and YMCA Leadership, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Pier-2-Pier Swim. This is not a decision we take lightly and feel with the forecasted wind, wave height and rip currents, it is in the best interest of our participants, volunteers, and staff to not hold the race this year.

The YMCAโ€™s Pier-2 Pier Race, in memory of Ryan Young, is an open water ocean swim event held at Wrightsville Beach.

All proceeds from this event benefit the YMCAโ€™s Safety Around Water program, a free water safety and swim course available to the community each spring, summer and fall.
