Honor freedom by riding forward 🚴🏾‍♀️✊

This Juneteenth, join a Freedom Ride along the JAM Trail connecting Wilmington and Old New Castle—a powerful way to reflect, remember, and celebrate.

As we mark America’s 250th anniversary, Juneteenth reminds us that freedom has been a journey—one carried forward by resilience, community, and continued progress.

🌿 Ride together in reflection
📖 Honor the stories that shaped our nation
🚴 Experience the landscape where history lives

Whether you ride the full trail or join along the way, this is more than a bike ride—it’s a moment to connect past to present.

This event is FREE to the public but registration is required.

Looking for a fun way to get outside and explore this weekend? 🌿🚴‍♂️
Be sure to check out this upcoming event! It’s a great opportunity to experience the Castle Trail, connect with the community, and enjoy the outdoors.

Join us for a trip down the Mike Castle Trail! We will start and end at Grain H20 with a turnaround point at Biddle Point. During our breaks we will talk about the risk of sea level rise on these beautiful trails and how Delaware can work to protect these valuable resources. The trail is fully paved and pretty flat the entire time. The total length will be around 12 miles in total (6 miles each way). E-Bikes are welcome, but we will keep the pace of our pals on regular bikes.

We will stop off for some ice cream at the Creamery at St. George's as well for those who want to partake (two scoops included in cost to register)! Must buy a ticket for each person for ice cream to be covered by the Chapter.

When we end at Grain, those who would like can join the Thompson family for lunch (cost not included).

Rain Date is Sunday 5/17/26

We’re lucky to have such incredible trails in our backyard. 🌳
Help us protect them and the community of people who use them by following these three golden rules:
- Share the space so everyone feels welcome.
- Respect trail conditions to preserve the path for years to come.
- Leave no trace to keep our local wildlife and habitats healthy.
