God is both perfectly loving AND perfectly just. "Vengeance is Mine," says the Lord. But here's the beautiful revelation: His vengeance doesn't have to touch you. God is long-suffering, patient, and abounding in mercy, giving everyone countless opportunities to repent and enter His protection. But make no mistake: righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne (Psalm 89:14).

Jesus spoke directly to the church in Revelation 2, saying "I know your works... but I have this against you, that you have left your first love." We can do all the right things, serve faithfully, and work tirelessly: but without making Jesus our FIRST love, we miss everything. He loved us first when we were unlovable. He gave everything so we could come boldly into His presence.

The question isn't whether God loves you—He does, deeply and completely. The question is: Is He YOUR first love? Before your work, your worries, your relationships, even your ministry? When Jesus is truly first, everything else falls into place. His love casts out fear, fills the lonely places, and transforms how we love others.
