A big thank you to the team at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) for hosting the Wilmington Area Hospitality Association today!

Members enjoyed lunch, an informative presentation from Airport Director Jeff Bourk, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the airport's ongoing construction projects.

Jeff shared exciting updates on ILM's continued growth, including a $300 million capital improvement program, infrastructure enhancements, and progress within the airport business park. As one of the key gateways to our region, ILM's investment in the future is helping support tourism, business travel, and economic development throughout the Wilmington area.

We appreciate the ILM team for their hospitality and for giving our members an inside look at the exciting things happening at our local airport. We look forward to seeing these projects come to life!

Wow… what an event 👏

Our April Luncheon with Dr. Mouhcine Guettabi was one of those gatherings that really reminds you how strong and forward-moving our hospitality community is right now.

From the continued growth across New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender Counties to the national spotlight on events like FEAST Wilmington and the North Carolina Azalea Festival, the momentum in our region is undeniable.

Dr. Guettabi brought incredible insight into where we are headed, from tourism trends to workforce needs, and what it will take to sustain this level of success. It sparked great conversation and left a lot of us thinking bigger about what’s next.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center and helped make this such a meaningful and energizing afternoon.

The Wilmington Area Hospitality Association was proud to host our February Luncheon at The Elia , bringing together hospitality professionals from across our community for connection, collaboration, and industry insight.

Thank you to our featured speaker, Barbi Baker, for sharing an exciting update on the upcoming Cape Fear Museum. The new museum will be a major addition to Wilmington’s destination experience, featuring immersive exhibits, a planetarium, hands-on science displays, and engaging spaces for visitors of all ages. We look forward to its opening this summer!

A special thank you to The Elia for hosting us in such a beautiful space, and to Middle of the Island Catering for providing a delicious luncheon.

We appreciate everyone who attended and continues to support and strengthen Wilmington’s hospitality community. We look forward to seeing you at our next WAHA event!

Huge thank you to Lynn, Will, and Jason for presenting on how local restaurants affect tourism in an area at the WAHA Luncheon this week. Wilmington has hundreds of local eateries which bring in tourism year round. With new food and beverage events such as FEAST Wilmington, more overnight guests are brought to the Wilmington area hotels while also bringing in additional business to the restaurants participating.

Also, thank you to Wrightsville Beach Brewery for hosting the event and lunch!
