According to a new Giving USA report, charitable giving in 2024 reached $592.5 billion, a 3.3% inflation adjusted increase from 2023. Individual giving rose 5%, corporate giving climbed 6%, and foundation giving dipped slightly. Many nonprofits still face cuts, layoffs, and a rising demand for services. Many worry that government funding cuts, especially to programs like SNAP, will widen service gaps beyond what private philanthropy alone can cover.

Charities received $592.5 billion in donations in 2024, a 3.3% increase over 2023, after adjusting for inflation, according to the most recent ”Giving USA″ report, which takes a comprehensive look at U.S. philanthropy.
