According to a new Giving USA report, charitable giving in 2024 reached $592.5 billion, a 3.3% inflation adjusted increase from 2023. Individual giving rose 5%, corporate giving climbed 6%, and foundation giving dipped slightly. Many nonprofits still face cuts, layoffs, and a rising demand for services. Many worry that government funding cuts, especially to programs like SNAP, will widen service gaps beyond what private philanthropy alone can cover.
