This is a recent sound off in our local paper. Do any of the parish leaders or parishioners have any other insight? So many were led to believe that when they closed the school, nearly three years ago, the parish would be flush.

It is with great sadness and regret to announce the passing of our beloved teacher and principal, Mrs. Linda Bland, on Thursday March 31st. Services are tentatively being planned for the week of April 11th. Please keep the Bland family in your prayers.

Thank you for helping to keep the tradition of helping the less fortunate in our community by collecting hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves. We have received a lot of donations. There are so many that need our help during this difficult time. Please continue to bring your donations to Mrs. Bland's house. There is a bin by the garage in the alley where you can leave your donations. We hope to have a full bin of items by Sunday, December 13th. All donations will be delivered to CHA on Monday, December 14th.

Moving on is often times easier said than done. What the author of this sound off doesn’t realize is that the families, most importantly many of the children, continue to struggle emotionally from our school closing. Our grief is REAL. The signs that remain in the yards of some homes and businesses are there for different reasons, we suppose. Simply put, it’s their right. Maybe they’re sending a message to save our parish, or maybe that’s a family still grieving. We don’t know and can’t speak for everyone. What we do know is that the sound off in this weeks paper to just “move on” doesn’t make it easier. Only worse.

This sweet group of 4 year olds would have had their Pre-School Graduation on Monday, May 18th. If you've ever had a child graduate from our Pre-School program you know how special it is. Mrs. Esposito is so proud of them and would like to honor these graduates in the same we did for our 8th graders!
Please join us for a graduation car procession on Monday, May 18th kicking off at 6:00pm from the Wilmington Middle School (line up at 5:30pm). Feel free to decorate your car or just drive by with a wave and a smile to let them know how special they are. The graduating students are:
Maria, Olivia, Killian, DJ, Gianna, Thomas, Levi, Emmett, & Avery.
