The ACLU of Delaware, established in 1961, is the state affiliate of the national ACLU. Through education, litigation, and community outreach we work to preserve and strengthen the individual rights and liberties of every person in Delaware. We are a first resort when the government threatens our rights in Delaware and a last hope when we are deprived of our liberties.

Mónica: Construyendo Comunidad y Esperanza en Sussex County

Monica creció en Sussex County, Delaware, Desde joven vio cómo la comunidad inmigrante se apoyaba mutuamente, reuniéndose en iglesias y ayudándose entre familias.

Hoy continúa ese compromiso trabajando con adultos mayores y apoyando programas como Meals on Wheels, llevando comida, acompañamiento y recursos a quienes más lo necesitan. Su historia refleja el esfuerzo, la solidaridad y el crecimiento de la comunidad hispana en Delaware.
