Welcome
We are the Cape Fear Composite Squadron, Group V of the North Carolina Wing, Civil Air Patrol. We meet at the DAV Building in Wilmington, NC every Monday night from 1900-2100 (7-9pm). As a Composite Squadron we have both Senior Members and Cadets.
Cadets are youths between 12-18 years old when they join. The mission of Cadet Programs is to transform youth into dynamic Americans and aerospace leaders. There is no military obligation with being a Cadet, we ask that you attend the 2 hour meetings regularly and participate in occasional Saturday activities. Cadets are taught about Leadership, Aerospace, Fitness, and Character. Members may remain a Cadet until their 21st birthday.
Senior Members are adult members age 18-100. All senior members under go a FBI background check and thorough training. Senior Members serve as the adult leaders of CAP and are responsible for the success of their Squadron.
