At our most recent pack meeting scouts worked on being HELPFUL and FRIENDLY. Each group received an identical set of Legos and were tasked with building a replica of a sculpture hidden in a box. The trick was that each group member could only look at the sculpture for 30 seconds before returning to their group to describe what they saw.

I’ve got an important update for everyone—due to the effects of the nor’easter, we’re CANCELING tonight’s Pack Meeting. 😔 Your safety is our top priority, and we want to make sure everyone stays safe and sound during this weather event! 🌧️💨

But don’t worry, we’re working to reschedule for next Monday at the same time, and we’ll keep you posted as soon as everything is confirmed. 🙌

Organized by one of our own Cubscouts! Come out to support and have fun!

Come out this weekend for our Kids to Parks Day on Saturday May 20, 2023. Park staff have been working with our Junior Ranger Ambassador Ian on an exciting program.

The Wilmington District Minute Men and the North Carolina Royal Highland Emigrants will be conducting artillery and small arms demonstrations, as well as musket cartridge making. Wait, cartridge making? No worries we use black sand to represent black powder and a marble to represent a musket ball. The weapons demonstrations are firing blank cartridges (just the powder). The kids will also experience the art of loading their own muskets using movie prop muskets.

Other programs include colonial toys and games and cooking for the troops. This program will run from 10 am to 1:00 pm near Patriots’ Hall Field. Come out and join in the fun!

Come out this morning and support BSA Troop 210/1210 for their annual pancake breakfast! Pancakes, sausage, OJ and coffee from 7 to 11 am at the CB Presbyterian church! They will also be taking donations for replacement of their troop trailer that was stolen a few weeks ago.
