The October meeting is coming up on Sunday October 11 at 7PM at Greenbank Mill, 500 Greenbank Road. Parking is behind the mill or in the adjacent parking lot on Greenbank Road next to the railroad tracks. Please join us in this new location.

Red Clay Day is this coming Sunday September 20. Come to Brandywine Springs Park and see our Park History information display, see the Historic Lost Movies of Brandywine Springs Edison films, and take guided park history tours hourly from 10-3. Celebrate the new handicap accessible trail! Bring friends and family. Thank your for supporting the Freinds of Brandywine Springs!

September 20 is a very busy day for the Friends of Brandywine Springs!! Hello Friends!
The September meeting is coming up on Sunday September 20 at 7PM at Greenbank Mill, 500 Greenbank Road. Parking is behind the mill or in the adjacent parking lot on Greenbank Road next to the railroad tracks. Please join us in this new location.

Our next meetings for 2026 are: September 20, October 11, November 8, December 6.

Our annual Park History Tour as part of the Red Clay Valley Tour Day is Sunday September 20 from 10-3, last tour starting at 3PM. This event includes hourly guided park history tours, viewing of the Lost Movies of Brandywine Springs, artifact displays, photo and postcard collection displays. This is our yearly event and it will be extra spectacular with the addition of the NEW handicap accessible trails! That should make the tours much easier. Bring your friends and family!
We hope that you can attend and enjoy this special event!

The Friends of Brandywine Springs will participate again this year in the Red Clay Days event on Sunday September 20, 2026. This event includes hourly guided park history tours starting at 10 AM, last tour starts at 3PM, viewing of the Lost Movies of Brandywine Springs, artifact displays, park memorabilia, photo and postcard collection displays. This is our yearly event and it will be extra spectacular with the addition of the NEW handicap accessible trails! That should make the tours much more enjoyable.

My-NCC is a public application enabling residents and visitors to submit non-emergency park maintenance service requests with a few clicks on your phone when you're inside one of the 251 regional and community parks operated by New Castle County.

You can submit service requests 24/7/365 or reach us Monday through Friday 7 am to 3 pm (except holidays) to address your park maintenance concerns. You can also create a My-NCC account to follow the progress and receive completion notices, or you can submit requests anonymously. Account display names are public, but your email will never be displayed publicly.

Check our table top display of photos, park memorabilia, Larry Anderson Prints, Books, and postcard collection . Hear the latest updates from our member staff about the Walking Trail Improvement project underway now. Here is our newest photo sign installed this month marking location of the Toboggan Slide Roller Coaster.

You do not have to be a member to support our group by attending our meetings or following us on Facebook. We feel the support from the public but if you would like to express your support in the most meaningful way, please consider becoming a member!! Echoes of the past remain in place! In the photo, several wood trolley ties with spikes in place were uncovered in a section along the lake service road during the new trail construction. The construction company adjusted the coverage of that section of the trail surface, leaving the history in place.

The June meeting is coming up Sunday June 14 at 7 PM at the Greenbank Mill, 500 Greenbank Road. Parking is behind the mill or in the adjacent parking lot on Greenbank Road next to the railroad tracks. Please join us in this new location.
Our next meetings for 2026 are: June14, July 12, August 9, September 20, October 11, November 8, December 6.
Trail construction is underway at the park. It will be handicap accessible and feature a lake loop trail with bridge over the spillway dam and connect to a trail along the boardwalk amusement sites. Her are a couple of views of trail sections as of June 5, 2026
