The running joke in the van during the drive inland was that we had a dream street spot lined up. The OG plan had us hitting two parks for multiple hours each…

This plan would normally totally torch every leg present so it was humorous to believe we would find the spot let alone be able to actually skate it.

We are here to tell you that dreams can be manifested. One “wrong turn” brought the Good News Skate Night ILM crew directly to the banks we first saw in 2018.

Moral of the story: load up the van. Imagine your dreams. Go Skate!!!

Yesterday we loaded up the infamous Skate Barn van and trekked 2 miles inland for the monthly Acts 2 Skate Crew meet up.

We were blessed with dry concrete and endless fellowship as we navigated I-40 to and from our scheduled stops.

Skateboarding afforded all of us the blessing of putting 4 wheels down on some amazing terrain as well as the chance to share the love of Christ that we have received with all who would listen in The Oak City.

Can’t wait to run this trip back soon!

Steve is the real deal.
-Pure 100% skateboarders ✔️
-Local historian ✔️
-Rad Dad passing skating along to his kids ✔️
-Certified Ripper (peep the proper krook marks on his deck) ✔️

Big ups to a real one for holding it down while passing it along to not only his offersrping but anyone in the community he interacts with. Steve Hamel is true Roots and Culture 🇬🇳
