Wilmington Handbell Ensemble

Wilmington Handbell Ensemble Membership is by audition or invitation and the group draws from various church bell choirs in New Castle County.

Founded by Michael Helman in September, 2000, the Wilmington Handbell Ensemble is now under the leadership of Kerry Dietz, Artistic Director, and the only community based handbell ensemble in the Wilmington, Delaware area.

Wonderful audience at our 25th Anniversary Concert on May 10 at St Paul's United Methodist Church. Thank you to Michael Helman. our guest conductor and founder, who returned to lead the ensemble in performing some of his most moving and beautiful compositions. Thank you also to Music Director Jeff Nicely and the team at St Paul's for hosting and providing goodies for the reception afterwards. And of course, a big thank you to Artistic Director Kerry Dietz for encouraging our best as we performed a rich and varied program of music from many genres. Listen below.
