Well Woman Empowerment Ministries is a spiritual-based organization created to empower woman to identify and overcome the issues of life and live “WELL” – spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. Its foundation is from the scripture in John 4:9-16. The Samaritan Woman came to the well looking to draw water. But what she brought with her was far more than any one woman should have to deal
with. When you hear the story of the woman at the well, you generally hear about the fact that she had 5 husbands and the one she is with now, is not hers. You hear of how she came to the well in the middle of the day to avoid having to make contact with others, particularly other women in the community. Me on the other hand when I hear her story, I hear about a young lady dealing with a lot of issues, having an encounter with a High Power and coming out an overcomer. An overcomer of the same issues we deal with on an everyday basis – lack of/low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, stress, emotional, physical and possibly sexual abuse, alcohol/substance abuse, grief, loss, unforgiving, pain, hurt, bitterness, anger, disappointment, rejection, grief/loss, health issues, and marriage/divorce/relationship issues. She came one way but did not leave the same. She came and was identified as the woman at the well, but she left a WELL Woman!!! So as we to go thru our daily lives living with the issues of life, we have accepted a charge to empower our sisters, thru the transition from being women at the well to becoming WELL Women! Our vision is to partner with local agencies/community organizations, along with our monthly group meetings, to provide a support team to assist each woman as they identify their issues and transition into wellness.
