Old Swedes A to Z:
G is for Graffiti. Long ago, people made their marks in stone and in wood. The 1699 church - doors and walls - is adorned with initials, full names, dates, place names and pictures. Visit us and see if you can find the oldest example!

A July 4 celebration at Old Swedes like no other. We were delighted to welcome not only Delaware's Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay, board members and our loyal volunteers, but also many descendants of our Revolutionary War patriots, who arrived from as near as Wilmington and as far as Arizona, New York and California. The patriots' names were read out, a wreath was laid in their honor, the Declaration of Independence was declared, and family genealogies were reviewed and compared. It was a wonderful day!

Celebrate America’s 250th with a visit to Old Swedes Historic Site!
Free admission 10 am – 3 pm.
11 am - Wreath laying ceremony, bell ringing, reading of the Declaration of Independence and patriots' names.
2:50 pm - Old Swedes joins in the National Bell Ringing
Plus - Revolutionary War Walking Tour.
July 4 National Park Service Stamp Card – one day only!
