If you’ve got a dog, you’ve already got a free trail membership. Local trails are where they can sniff everything, you can actually get your steps, and you both come home calmer. Win-win-win.

Cyclists and pedestrians are one step closer to improved safety🚲👣

ODOT Director Pamela Boratyn announced today that over $21 million in grants will be awarded to improve safety for bicycle and pedestrian traffic through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP). The funding will support 17 projects in 16 counties.

TAP provides funding for projects defined as transportation alternatives, including:
- on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities
- infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility
- community improvement activities
- environmental mitigation
- recreational trail program projects
- safe routes to school projects.

In other words, ODOT is working to make a better, safer Ohio for you!
