We are proud to share that Christina Haley, President and CEO of Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI), has been named to the Greater Wilmington Business Journal 100 list in the category of The Connectors! 🎉

The WilmingtonBiz 100 is an annual initiative by the Greater Wilmington Business Journal that recognizes 100 individuals who are shaping the future of Southeastern North Carolina’s business landscape. These Power Players, Influencers, Innovators, Connectors, and Rising Stars are making a lasting impact across industries.

The Connectors are the real-world networkers who bring together people and resources to get things done. Christina exemplifies this through her leadership, which focuses on collaboration, data-driven strategy, and inclusive growth. She works to align public and private stakeholders and drive initiatives that support long-term investment in Wilmington’s Central Business District and Greater Downtown Area.

Christina’s impact has also been recognized statewide this year. She joined the North Carolina Downtown Development Association (NCDDA) Executive Committee as Secretary and received two NCDDA awards: the Downtown Impact Award for WDI’s Downtown Holiday Lighting Program and the Emerging Leader Award recognizing her impact in the community.

These honors reflect Christina’s dedication to bringing people together, advancing downtown initiatives, and building a vibrant, resilient, and forward-looking downtown community.

Join us in congratulating Christina and all the outstanding individuals who made this year’s WilmingtonBiz 100 list!

🎭 What would your mask reveal?

Following WDI’s recent ribbon cutting with Stephanie Stone, we’re excited to share an opportunity for the community to get creative and be part of an upcoming exhibit!

Fully Awake Art is inviting artists, creatives, and community members to design their own mask for a special Community Mask Exhibit during October’s 4th Friday Gallery Night Walk.

There are no rules for what your mask should become or represent. It could represent an identity you want to release, one you’re stepping into, something you’ve experienced, the courage you carry, or simply an idea you want to bring to life. Paint it, collage it, add textures or found objects, create intricate designs, or make something completely unexpected. This is your opportunity to make it your own.

Blank masks are $15 each, with the fee covering the mask, installation, and exhibition tag. Masks are available for purchase at Fully Awake Art Gallery and ACES Gallery.

🗓️ Completed masks are due October 18
📍 Fully Awake Art Gallery, 205 Princess St.
🎉 Opening Reception: October 23, 6–9 p.m. during the 4th Friday Gallery Night Walk
💵 $15 per mask

Have an idea for what your mask would reveal? Pick one up and make it your own!
