Looking for ALL AI High wrestlers from 1994-1995 to come out and support our 2024 BHC Flight B Champions defend their title. Eash year the AI High Wrestling Alumni and Just Mentoring Inc sponsor a golf benefit to help our Tiger wrestlers maintain the great winning tradition at A.I du Pont High School. This year’s event will be on June 10 at the Newark Country Club.

II STATE CHAMPIOPNS!!

A.I. High and McKean battle for BHC Flight B Wrestling Championship
The AI Tiger wrestling team traveled to McKean HS last night to battle the Highlanders for the Blue Hen Conference Flight B title and a trip to the DIAA State Dual Meet Championships next week. There were many wrestling alumni in the stands from both schools, along with district administrators Supt. Green, Director of Secondary Schools Mr. Pruitt along with fellow RC School Board member Martin Wilson, in a packed gym that was full of energy and excitement I have not seen in decades. It was a hard-fought battle with many matches coming down to the wire. But, in the end, the AI Tigers prevailed 45-30 and will represent the Red Clay School District at the DIAA Dual Meet Championships next week, possibly taking on another Red Clay team, DMA. Kudos to all wrestlers who represented their teams with honor and kudos to both head coaches, Coach Dorda for McKean and Coach Simpson for AI High. Great to see our athletic programs growing across the district.
