The National Women in Blues promotes, supports, edifies and mentors female blues artists anywhere in the world. Staging an annual WiB Showcase in Memphis, and previously through festivals in Wilmington NC (which we hope to bring back). We continue through our group page in supporting and promoting WiB's throughout the year. Started in 2006 with 6 weeks lead time, the 1st National Women in Blues Festival proved that people wanted to hear female blues artists. Officially gaining Non-Profit status nearly a decade later, thanks to fundraising from our members and WiB's and their supporters. Headlining Mahindra Blues Festival tonight at Buddy Guy’s in Chicago and then it’s the Southside Blues Festival in Cedar Rapids tomorrow, rehearsal Monday in Davenport, rehearsal Tuesday in Omaha, playing a retirement community Wednesday in Omaha and then opening for Orianthi in Omaha on Thursday. Grateful for every rehearsal, every show and every opportunity to share my heart. ☀️

Mississippi blues are coming to New Harmony! 🎹🎶

And we’re bringing some serious talent with them.

Straight out of Mississippi, Eden Brent brings her signature mix of Delta blues, boogie-woogie piano, and Southern soul to the stage on November 7.

She’ll be joined by Geminii Dragon and Heavy Suga’ & The SweeTones, and Sandy Pickett, bringing together three acts with Mississippi Delta blues roots for one incredible evening.

It’s more than a night of great music. It’s a celebration of the women whose voices, stories, and musical traditions have helped shape the blues for generations.

And you can experience it live in historic New Harmony, Indiana.
