Megan’s niece, Olivia, celebrated her aunt’s 42nd birthday on September 17th the only way she ever has 🥺. Time passes but our family is still so grateful for all the love and support and that we were able to build this foundation in her honor. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Dear friends,
As we gather in our homes this holiday season our hope is that you are safe and warm in your memories of holidays past when we could come together without restrictions. It certainly has been a frightful 10 months as the pandemic raged and so many loved ones were lost to Covid-19.
We reach out to you today in a spirit of gratitude for your caring support of the Megan Ashley Perry Foundation and the Scholarship at the University of Delaware. This year in particular we are privileged to have assisted in the educational expenses of two students.
We know that it is your generosity that has made it possible for the Foundation to continue to fund this scholarship for deserving students. Your support has also helped us face the loss of our precious Megan who died much too soon. Each year that passes is a harsh reminder of all that Megan loved and cared about and that is why this year we are asking that as you consider your end-of-year charitable contributions you choose an organization or cause that speaks to you, especially during these very difficult times when people are facing hunger or homelessness or unemployment.
Megan was a generous and open-hearted young woman and, in her memory, we hope to provide hope to those facing fear and loneliness.
From our family to yours we wish you good health and a hopeful heart in 2021.

In gratitude,
The family of Megan Ashley Perry

12 years and your spirit lives on.
We are so grateful to everyone who continues to lift us up on this day. Your outreach truly helps us to feel Megan with us. Thank you for continuing to support our family and our foundation so that Megan can continue to provide opportunities for other young women like her.

Hug your family today. Seek out the sunshine. Feel Megan with you as we all do.

My mom and I look forward to attending the “Celebration of Scholarships” at the University of Delaware every year. It’s a chance to meet the deserving young person that has been granted the Megan Ashley Perry Scholarship. Unfortunately, this year we were not able to attend. We would still like to share with you our recipient for this year. Congratulations to Grace Brassel!! Grace is a communications media major at U of D. She aspires to work for a major media organization and doing public relations or advertising. Grace transferred to the University after visiting as a freshman and considers it the best decision she has made for her future. Grace praises the University for offering the most well rounded college experience and she has enjoyed creating wonderful bonds with her professors. As a foundation we want to congratulate Grace and wish her all the best for her future endeavors. As always we thank each of you for your continued support and generosity in our foundation. We miss our Megan everyday but you all have helped her memory love on in each of these wonderful students we have been able to help along in their educational journey. Stay safe and healthy!! 💗

Thank you to all who supported our campaign. We are grateful to share that we exceeded our goal!! On this 10th anniversary of Megan’s death, we have felt her with us through your generous donations. As we shared earlier, this day is always difficult for us but we believe that we are doing Megan’s work and we’ll take tonight’s rainbow as a big thumbs up from our girl.

Thank you all so very much!

10 years.

For ten long years we’ve missed you Megan...missed seeing your face, feeling your hugs, hearing your voice, and just being in your presence.

We’ve tried to do our best to keep you with us and in the world. We’ve granted several scholarships, donated to causes close to your heart, described your personality to countless people, named your nieces & nephews after you, displayed your picture in our homes, and, most importantly, we’ve spoken your name.

When you left us we worried that people wouldn’t speak your name anymore. A name that was taken from this world far too soon. We had expected to grow old with you, to share all of life’s roller coasters with you, to walk through this crazy life with you by our sides. When we were robbed of that, we couldn’t imagine how our larger than life sister & daughter could be gone. So we kept speaking your name - even when it made people uncomfortable, even when it annoyed people, even when it ripped our hearts open.

You’ve never left us Megan and you never will. Keep shining your light on us sweet girl and we’ll keep doing our best to reflect it onto the world.

Love you always and forever, to heaven and back. ❤️🌻🌈
