🎉 You're invited to march with YWCA Delaware in the Delaware Juneteenth Association - DEJA's 32nd Annual Freedom Parade and Festival!

The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. at Rodney Square between 11th and King Streets in Wilmington and proceeds to the Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park on Rosa Parks Drive, where the festival kicks off at 12 noon.

Be sure to visit the YWCA Delaware table during the festival for swag, resources, and snacks.

Anyone who registers to walk with YWCA Delaware will receive a free YWCA Delaware Juneteenth t-shirt featuring the winning design by this year’s contest artist, Alicia Whitney. 🙌🙌🙌

Alysa Liu is an American figure skater who made history early, becoming the youngest-ever U.S. national champion at just 13. Known for landing the difficult triple Axel, she went on to represent Team USA at the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics—winning two gold medals in Milan and becoming the first American woman in over 20 years to win Olympic gold in women’s figure skating. ⛸️🥇

Thank you, Senator Lockman, for your leadership and for continuing to ensure that Delaware remains a place where conversations around justice, civic participation, and the freedom for all voices to be heard are not only welcomed but protected. And thank you to the members of the Senate for recognizing the importance of the Until Justice Just Is campaign and this year’s focus on democracy and voting rights.



YWCA USA

“Until Justice Just Is” is a challenge issued across the nation by YWCA Delaware, calling on us all to answer. This campaign pushes us as lawmakers to advocate for the dissolution of systemic injustices to strengthen communities and reach social justice with solidarity.

I brought SR 19 to do just that, proclaiming May 19 as Until Justice Just Is Day. With this resolution, we firmly establish our active role in the struggle for justice – to approach discrimination and oppression as a united front.
