The City of Wilmington will present Alex Highsmith, Pittsburgh Steelers star and Wilmington's own, with a "Key to the City" at the 4th Annual Derby-Style Soiree, Friday, April 4, 9pm to 1am (doors open at 8 pm), at the beautiful Smoke on the Water Restaurant on the riverfront, Wilmington, NC (Friday Night This Year! - Azalea Festival Weekend). This year promises to be epic!

Come on over after the Flo Rida concert!!

We were recently recognized with an Award of Appreciation for our literacy and children's book donation program at Gregory Elementary! Our reading academy is bridging the literacy gap by serving the needs of struggling second-grade readers in Wilmington, North Carolina, initially at the International School at Gregory, where Barbara Highsmith engaged her students with innovative reading plans, real life applications, and promoted learning as a life-long endeavor.
