Calling all girls entering grades 5–12 for Fall 2026! Come try mountain biking in a safe, supportive, and fun environment — no prior bike experience needed!

Come out and cheer on our NICA coaches Laura and Chip or drop a donation their way. They will be racing the Commuter Challenge @ Monkey Hill this Friday afternoon to raise money for Urban Bike Project programs, including our mountain bike team!

The Commuter Challenge is a special division of the Monkey Hill Time Trial. We complete the 3.2 mile time trial course on loaded commuter bikes, culminating in the notorious climb up the Monkey Hill cobblestones. The more money each of us raises, the more weight we promise to carry on our bikes. Prizes are awarded for most weight across the finish line and fastest.

Any donations to help Chip’s fundraiser, my fundraiser, or the 6 other competitors’ fundraisers.

Donations can be made by visiting https://www.degives.org/fundraisers/5th-annual-commuter-challenge and scrolling down to the list of competitors at the bottom of the page. 

Folks can also come out to cheer the competitors on as they climb the hill to the finish line. The free, family-friendly event features a beer tent, food trucks, live music, and amateur and pro racing divisions after the Commuter Challenge.
