Swap Welcome back, Seahawks! We're so excited to begin the fall semester with you. 🤗

We're also excited to share that the Seahawk Swap Shop opens back up next Monday, August 24th, 2026, at 11am!

Just a friendly reminder for those bringing donations, we only accept gently used clothing, shoes, decor, books, office supplies, and household items. Items must be clean and in working order. Please no large furniture items or appliances. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!

Sustaindub Summer Student Spotlight☀

Our Lead Sustainability Peer Educator, Viviana Morales, worked with WB Surf Camp as a Marine Educator this summer!

Viviana said, "I loved being able to spend so much time at the beach, surrounded by nature and sharing my passion for protecting it. It was so rewarding to teach kids about marine life and the environment while helping them build their own connection with the ocean!"

Sustaindub Summer Student Spotlight☀

Our Sustainability Peer Educator, Olivia Esposito, served as the Post Construction Stormwater Intern with NCDEQ this summer!

Olivia said, "My favorite part of the internship was working on permitted projects from behind the scenes, and having the opportunity to fly a drone at a site!!!"

Peer educator alumni, Sarah Stevens, is spending the summer working with the US Forest Service as an Amphibian Monitoring Technician. On a rotating schedule of 8 days on and 6 days off, she spends days on backpacking and walking through the Sierra National Forest and Inyo National Forest looking for endangered species of amphibians often running into other animals as well such as bears, pika, and fairy shrimp. WE ARE SO PROUD OF SARAH FOR ALL HER HARD WORK!

Note: All endangered species are held under proper permitting.

The busiest year to date for the Seahawk Swap Shop!! 🙌

We experienced an 18% increase in the number of shoppers, 10% increase in lbs. of donations in, and a 23%(!) increase in lbs. of purchases this year over last! Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Swap Shop and keep it running with your donations or by shopping with us 🫶💚

We're so proud to be able to close the loop and provide our campus community with the resources they need! Here's to an even better year ahead! 🥳
