Just a heads up on what the booms will be starting Sunday 6/15

***ATTENTION*** Please expect loud noises and explosions during a training taking place on the installation June 15-21. The units will comply with existing requirements that prohibit them from massing fires larger than battalion size between the hours of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily or from firing during the hours of 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sundays.

🚨 ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING – CAN YOU HELP IDENTIFY? 🚨

The NHSO is investigating an attempted kidnapping that occurred on 02/02/2025 at 3:21 AM at the Scotchman Gas Station (6427 Carolina Beach Rd).

A white male with brown hair, wearing a camo jacket attempted to force a female victim into the bathroom. Thanks to two bystanders who intervened, the suspect fled the scene in an SUV heading north.

Is everyone safe out there? I’m seeing not too much just some standing water and a few road closures earlier.
Remember that the river waters will still be coming down to the ocean for a couple days. So, local rivers and creeks may flood.
