NAWIC Wilmington Cape Fear Chapter #390 Our mission is to strengthen and amplify the success of women in the construction industry. NAWIC began as "Women in Construction" in Fort Worth, TX in 1953.

It's purpose was to provide a support network for women in the construction industry. It was so successful that it gained it's national charter in 1955 and became the National Association of Women in Construction. Today it has over 120 Chapters in the U.S., with chapters in almost every state. NAWIC chapters are made up of enthusiastic women working in the construction industry. Chapter members ch

annel their enthusiasm to the many different projects in which they are involved. NAWIC continues to provide a great return on investment through a variety of of professional and educational opportunities, like networking, speakers, seminars and community outreach. We are thrilled to be recognized for our work on a Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity project— providing leadership, expertise, and powerful community impact while motivating future industry professionals.
