DECO Wilmington Food Hall now houses six dining concepts under one roof inside the historic DuPont Building. Bardea Restaurant Group took over the space in 2025 and brought in the first Angelo's location outside Philadelphia, alongside sushi, salad and Mexican options, the sit-down Casa Nonna, and pastries from James Beard semifinalist Antimo DiMeo at Bean by Bardea.

The project was backed by Wilmington-based WSFS Bank.

100% pass rate for nurses.

Every graduate of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing's Class of 2026 passed the NCLEX on the first try, a 100% pass rate for Delaware's only hospital-based nursing program.

The result continues the school's history of preparing graduates for nursing careers, many of whom go on to work at Beebe Healthcare.

Goodwill of Delaware's ReThink Fashion show turned secondhand finds into original designs, this year built entirely from materials sourced at Goodwill stores. University of Delaware and Delaware State University students joined local designers Dell Scott and Julieta Zavala, with the show hosted by Miss Earth USA.

Delaware launched its first film tax credit: a $10 million program offering a 30% transferable credit to productions that spend at least $100,000 in the state. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

From beaches to farmland to city blocks, Delaware's range of filming locations sits within a 90-minute drive of Philadelphia, D.C. and New York, giving production companies a convenient option and giving local crews, vendors and small businesses new work.

Second-best Oktoberfest in the nation.

The Delaware Sängerbund & Library Association Oktoberfest in Ogletown was named the second-best Oktoberfest in the country in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, up from fourth place the year before. This year's event, the 47th annual, ran September 18 through 20.

The 173-year-old club, powered by roughly 700 volunteers, brings authentic Bavarian food, imported b**r and folk dancing under a big tent each year. "We don't consider ourselves second best; we consider ourselves the best because we're authentic," said Oktoberfest chairman Don Sturmfels.

$1.75 million for Sussex care.

Delaware's Congressional Delegation awarded Beebe Healthcare a $1.75 million grant to expand its Coordinated Care Center in Long Neck. Sens. Chris C***s and Lisa Blunt Rochester and Congresswoman Sarah McBride joined Beebe leaders to mark the investment.

The Center helps patients transition from a hospital stay to primary care and ongoing health management, cutting down on avoidable readmissions. The funding will let Beebe relocate and expand the Center, growing access to primary care, care coordination and chronic disease management in a fast-growing part of Sussex County. The move is expected in summer 2027.

About 10,000 Delaware taxpayers are getting checks in the mail, no claim required. The state's MONEY MATCH program returns unclaimed property directly to residents by matching records against income tax filings.

This round returns over $1.2 million, bringing the program's seven-year total to more than $6 million returned to over 50,000 Delawareans.

$3.4 million for downtown Delaware.

The Housing Delaware awarded $3.43 million to eight revitalization projects in Wilmington, Dover, Georgetown and Smyrna. Every state dollar in the Downtown Development Districts program leverages nearly $15 in private investment.

Since 2014, that formula has turned $47.4 million in state support into $693 million in private investment across 495 completed projects statewide.
