New services for Delaware families. Delaware's Division of Developmental Disabilities Services has added three services to its Lifespan Waiver program, expanding support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The additions include behavioral residential services, crisis stabilization care and remote supports such as medication reminders and wearable devices.

The expansion gives more Delawareans access to support that can help them live safely and independently in their own homes and communities.

A hub for innovation. Delaware Prosperity Partnership has launched Innovate Delaware, a statewide initiative connecting entrepreneurs and researchers with the partners, capital and resources they need to grow.

The program brings together the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, the Delaware Small Business Development Center and other partners, backed by $1.36 million from the Delaware Strategic Fund over two years.

One early focus is the Delaware Rural Health Challenge, a reverse-pitch accelerator designed to address healthcare needs in rural communities, with up to $25 million in grants available over five years.

Delaware has launched the Office of Small Business Access within the Delaware Division of Small Business, giving entrepreneurs a single point of contact for licensing, permitting and regulatory questions that used to mean juggling multiple state agencies.

The office will also help lead a new Small Business Liaison Network and a statewide listening tour starting July 22, so business owners can flag recurring barriers directly to the agencies that can fix them. A planned financing and resource clearinghouse is being developed in partnership with DPP.
