And so she did.

Dolly Parton was true to being herself in a way that also embraced and encouraged others. Everything she said and did, even talking about her successes, seemed to convey to us all, "You matter darlin. You're a bright star too."

What an amazing legacy.

I believe one of the most beautiful ways to honor the loss of someone we love, respect or look up to, is to emulate qualities about them that we were inspired by.

Along with her compassionate hearted faith, I'm choosing to keep being who I am on purpose, in a way that I pray will embrace and encourage others as well.

When I think of Dolly Parton, I am reminded of my favorite childhood story: "The princess was always laughing and singing and dancing... and everybody- just everybody- loved her." ✨👑
