West Side Grows (Wilmington, DE) Cornerstone West CDC serves as the fiscal agent and backbone organization.

West Side Grows Together is a coalition of residents, businesses, churches, and local leadership working together to improve the quality of life in the West Side of Wilmington. We work together to revitalize our parks, strengthen our business districts, grow local jobs, create more opportunities for our youth, promote quality housing for all, and build the sense of community in the West Side.

Neighbors and other Wilmington residents came out to Rodney Reservoir Park recently for the River Alive event that explores our connections to water and local ecosystems through art and play. Headed by our Artist in Residence Euhri Jones, there were painting and paper crafts, kite flying, bubbles, and other activities.

Thanks to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for their support of the Artist in Residence project. Thanks also to West Side Grows (Wilmington, DE) and Green for the Greater Good for helping to put this on.

West Side Laundry is officially opening its doors at 1015 Lancaster Avenue, bringing a clean, modern laundromat, new housing opportunities, and new jobs to the neighborhood.

This project represents years of hard work, vision, and investment in the West Side, and we are excited to welcome another locally owned business to the corridor.
