🐾 VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH! 🐾
If PAWS handed out an award for the longest volunteer commute, Tom and Bryce Newman would be tough to beat! Since 2019, this dedicated father-son duo has traveled all the way from Milford—sometimes driving nearly an hour each way—to care for the cats at PAWS during their evening shift. ❤️

Tom, a networking instructor at Cincinnati State, and Bryce, who works from home, began volunteering together after Bryce suggested they find a shelter where they could give back side by side. Thanks to a recommendation from another volunteer, in 2019, they found their way to PAWS—and we couldn’t be more grateful they did!

Their commitment, compassion, and reliability mean so much to our cats and our organization. And in the sweetest twist of all, two lucky PAWS cats have even found their forever home with the Newman family. 🐱🏡

Thank you, Tom and Bryce, for your incredible dedication and for the love you show our cats every month. We are so lucky to have you both as part of the PAWS family! 💙

Help!!!
PAWS is looking for a kind hearted person with a quiet home to foster Jesse, a gentle big boy. He was diagnosed with heartworm disease after coming to us and is currently being treated,

Dogs with heartworm disease need to lead quiet, non active lives free from the stress of kennel life. A shelter environment with barking dogs and a fair amount of activity is not the ideal place for this sweet boy.

Jesse is laid back and does not require a lot of attention. Short walks on a leash whether inside a fence or outside around the block is sufficient activity. He will be a good companion while you are on your computer or watching TV. Jesse has been neutered & is up to date on vaccines. PAWS will furnish his food & bowls, leash and collar, bed, toys and his medicine. His treatment may require occasional visits to the local vet (Orchard Vet) which PAWS will cover.
