GVI Support & Outreach enjoyed attending the 2026 Delaware Healthcare Workforce Summit on Wednesday, September 30th!

This year’s focus on Behavioral Health and Rural Health Transformation, featured remarks from Surgeon General Neil Hockstein, Lieutenant Governor Kyle Evans Gay, and multiple accomplished experts in healthcare from across the state.

Keynote speaker, Dr. Samantha Nutt, gave a moving depiction of her work in war-torn nations and inspired the audience to keep doing the hard work. Even when you feel you may not be making a difference in the world, know that you are.

It was a pleasure connecting with organizations focused on improving the behavioral health space and learning more about the state’s plans for Rural Health Transformation!

GVI Support & Outreach joined residents, community partners, and city leadership at Wilmington Unite, hosted by the Office of Community Safety, with Director Javar Simpson representing GVI on the panel.

Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their perspectives. Opportunities like this bring community members and leadership together to discuss public safety, strengthen connections, and support a shared commitment to reducing violence.
