The Mary Campbell Center turned 50 this past Saturday, May 23, 2026! That's right; we've been discovering, growing, and celebrating ABILITIES since the days of bell bottoms and platform shoes.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, we hosted a 50th Anniversary Kickoff Event, where we welcomed MCC Residents and their families, local legislators, and many long-time friends of The Center.

We want to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who joined us. Kevin Reilly — thank you for emceeing with such energy and heart. Sen. Dan Cruce — thank you for your thoughtful reflection and steadfast support. Coach Dick Vermeil — thank you for your continued partnership and your genuine message of congratulations. County Executive Marcus Henry — thank you for your involvement with The Center, your belief in our mission, and your warm congratulatory message.

To the families of MCC — thank you for trusting us with the care of your loved ones. This responsibility is one none of us take for granted. To the Residents of MCC — it is a joy to know you and to interact with you on a daily basis. To our Board of Directors — we are deeply grateful for your leadership, guidance, and commitment.

And finally, thank you to our Founders for the work they put in to make The Center a reality. Without them, there would be no Mary Campbell Center.

The month of May is filled with reasons to celebrate🎉

Every May, the nation recognizes National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, National Nurses Week, and National Teacher Appreciation Week. And this year on May 23, The Mary Campbell Center will celebrate 50 years of "Discovering, Growing, and Celebrating ABILITIES".

We could not be prouder to share this anniversary month with the many professionals who have dedicated themselves to the MCC mission to, "Discover, Grow, and Celebrate ABILITIES".

To our nurses, speech therapists, and educators, please know that we celebrate you every day and that The Center wouldn't be what it is today without you. Thank you for all you do.

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to all MCC staff. Each and every one of you play an integral role in fulfilling The Center's mission.
